ISC 2024 Sets Stage for Cutting

HAMBURG, Germany, August 2, 2023 – Even though ISC 2024 is nine months away, a team of volunteers on the ISC contributed program committee is already working to ensure researchers have the chance to showcase their work at this global event, which will attract over 3,000 attendees from May 12 – 16, 2024.

ISC encourages submissions that embody transformative research in high performance computing, machine learning, quantum computing, and other cutting-edge technologies, particularly those supporting scientific and engineering discovery. Stay tuned for the ISC 2024 Submission Calls announcement in September.

The event promotes research democratization, data sharing, and software reusability by inviting submissions of solutions that can be implemented and used by our community at large.

The ISC 2024 Contributed Program categories and their respective committee leaders are:

The main ISC topics of interest in 2024 are system architecture and hardware components, programming environments, system software, algorithms, methods and tuning, applications and use cases, machine learning and AI, quantum computing, and community and HPC.

ISC 2024 Program Chair

Michela Taufer, the Dongarra Professor of High Performance Computing in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Tennessee Knoxville, will spearhead the program. Taufer has undertaken the challenge to bring together the ISC Contributed and Invited Program, including keynotes and focus sessions to propose a bold roadmap to reinvent HPC.

Torsten Hoefler from ETH Zurich will lend his expertise to Taufer as the ISC 2024 Deputy Program Chair.

ISC High Performance has been organized since 1986 and is recognized as the world’s oldest and Europe’s most prominent conference for the HPC, machine learning, and high performance data analytics communities. In 2024, the event will feature the most recent advances in high performance computing, covering all significant developments in system design, programming models, applications, machine learning, quantum computing, and up-and-coming technologies.
